Welcome to the Dumfries Harriers Website
Members of Dumfries Harriers first came together in 1995 as Gates P.T. Running Club and finally evolved into Dumfries Harriers in the summer of 2009. The club has always prided itself on being friendly and non-elitist in its attitude and promises a warm welcome to anyone wishing to come along for a run irrespective of their ability.
Training Sessions
Tuesday 6pm {Keswick Centre} ~ 3 Groups, Easy, Moderate & Fast.
Wednesday 6pm {Keswick Centre} ~ Beginners Group, Led by experienced Group Leaders
Thursday 6pm {Keswick Centre} ~ 5 Mile Group Run.
Friday 6pm {Keswick Centre} ~Track Session. Led by UKA Level 3 Coach
Saturday 8.30am {Jolly Harvester} ~ Long Group Endurance Run.
Club Events
Every September the Club organises the much respected Gallovidian Dumfries 10k Road Race, sponsored by Gallovidian Fresh Foods. Now in its 15th year, the event continues to go from strength to strength and provides a good night of running for the many competitors who take part. In addition the club also organises the very popular Mabie Forest Trail Race in June, supported by Grierson & Graham Cycles and Dumfries & Galloway Council.
