Doonhamer 10k 

On the last Sunday each August, the Club organises the Doonhamer 10k. Starting and finishing in Dock Park beside the River Nith in Dumfries. The course traces pathways alongside the river, crossing the Nith via Buccleuch Street, Suspension, and Kirkpatrick MacMillan bridges. View the course map.

This race will follow UK Athletics rules (pending Scottish Athletics license) with a race limit of 290. The 2026 race is sold out so make sure to enter early to guarantee your place as this event has sold out for the last three years!

Entry: £18 for SA/EA/WA affiliated members, £20 for non-affiliated runners. Includes:

• Chip timing

• On-course water stop

• Post event treats

• Spot prizes

• First aid

• Kilometre markers and well-marshalled route

• Limited car parking and toilet facilities

Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male/Female; 1st Male/Female VET 40, VET 50, VET 60, VET 70
