TWO determined members of Dumfries Harriers rose to the challenge of the Glen Ogle 33 last weekend.

The race is a scenic and demanding 33-mile Ultra Marathon set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

Donna Davidson, who has been enjoying a standout season, quietly stepped up to the ultra-distance for the very first time.

Having only completed her first marathon earlier this year, Donna’s leap into ultra running marks a remarkable progression in her running journey.

By her side throughout the race was fellow Harrier Jen Lee, a seasoned ultra runner with several long-distance events under her belt. The pair ran together from start to finish, soaking in the stunning autumnal views and supporting each other every step of the way.

Both runners crossed the finish line in just over six hours and 17 minutes, a fantastic achievement that reflects their strength, determination, and teamwork.
